Appointments
How to request an appointment
You can request an appointment:
- using an online form (opens in new tab)
- by phoning the surgery
- or in person
If you are unable to use our online form, you can call the surgery. We treat all requests in the same way, no matter how you contact us. Once we’ve reviewed your request, we’ll contact you during surgery hours.
Types of appointment
We offer the following types of appointments:
Routine appointment
If you don’t need immediate help, please let us know when you request an appointment. This may be, for example, because:
- you’re due to have a health check-up or screening
- you need a vaccination
- your ailment is minor, or you’ve had it for a long time already
Where appropriate, we’ll arrange an appointment for you in the next two weeks. If you’ve asked to see a specific person, there may be a longer wait where they are fully booked or away.
Urgent appointment
Please tell us if you feel that you need an appointment urgently. We’ll review your request carefully. Where appropriate, we’ll offer you an appointment on the same working day, or the next day. If we think you need immediate help, we may tell you to go to a hospital.
When the surgery is closed, please call 111 or go to 111.nhs.uk.
Non-urgent advice: Before you request an appointment:
have a look at what local services are available.
These options may provide you with the help you need more quickly.
