Blood tests can provide important information about your health and may be used to check a wide range of things, including blood counts, cholesterol levels, diabetes, kidney and liver function, thyroid function, vitamin levels, and signs of infection or inflammation.

All blood test results received by the practice are reviewed through our dedicated Pathology Clinics, where GPs with a particular focus on pathology carefully assess results and decide on any action that may be required. Most normal results will be reviewed, filed, and made available for you to view automatically through the NHS App. If a result requires further investigation, treatment, or follow-up, we will contact you with the next steps. Please be aware that some results can take longer than others to be reported by the laboratory and reviewed by our clinical team.

Urine tests can help identify and monitor a range of conditions, including urinary tract infections (UTIs), kidney problems, diabetes, and other health concerns. Depending on the type of test requested, results may be available within a few days, although some samples can take longer if they require laboratory analysis.
